Naoshima may be far from the youthful café capitals of Kyoto, Kobe and Osaka, but it packs a punch when it comes to the variety and the experiences that its cafes and tea houses offer. With a large number of young people from Honshu working in here in the museums, guesthouses and restaurants, there is something for everyone. Konnichiwa Café offers water front views, while Mai Mai with its combination of American/ Hawaii cuisine and fresh local produce draws crowds from near and far.
