The Funaori Seto is a channel between Hakatajima Island on the Shimanami Kaido and a neighbouring island. Tidal currents rip through channel which made it a haven for pirates who mastered boatmanship in this tough environment. The campsite is close to Niwatori Kojima beach which is good for swimming. For information, tent rentals, and payment, go to the Hakata Michi no Eki.
